Aragorn, also known as Strider, is a mysterious character. Yet he is wise and warm. We meet him in Bree at the Inn of the Prancing Poney. Aragorn helps Frodo in his quest and swears, "by life or death I can save you, I will." After Gandalf's fall, he assumes the role of the Fellowship's leader.
